The Claim
In 2023, Capita who administer pension schemes on behalf of a number of pensions were subject to a cyberattack which resulted in customer records being stolen. It's believed that over half a million UK pension holders from pensions such as Marks and Spencer pension scheme, Scottish Power, Royal Mail, BAE Systems and AXA UK could have had their personal data compromised during this breach. The compromised information is believed to have included names, dates of birth and national insurance numbers.
